- Reopen the same horse’s card immediately afterward. Compare the XP display, and note if a race or another activity happened in between.
- If a timer or cooldown appears, record its displayed time. Repeat the same observation later rather than assuming the timing from one session applies to everyone.
A before-and-after difference is evidence for that one situation. It may include other XP sources if they occur during the test. A clear capture of the care prompt and both XP states would support a more precise guide; a single result should not be promoted into a global XP formula.
Feeding apples and the care bonus
The official Apple A Day badge confirms that feeding apples is a tracked activity: it asks players to feed 100 apples to one horse. That badge does not tell us how many XP an apple or Horse Care action gives, or whether the two use the same mechanic. Keep the badge goal, item use and any XP change as separate observations.
